I believe I have mentioned it before but over the summer I work at a travel agency in my town. I love working there. I recently completed the travel agent courses for Disney which fall under the College of Disney Knowledge. Unfortunately the classes were online and not on site. I wish they were on site! I had to take courses on Disneyland, Walt Disney World, Disney Cruise Line, Adventures by Disney, and Aulani. I enjoyed learning more about Aulani and the new DCL ships since I am not as familiar with those products as I am with Walt Disney World. It was an informative course and I was able to print out an official certificate to put at my desk at work (but will probably stay at home on my desk). This is the first step in my education from Disney. I hope the next is the Disney College Program after college graduation in two years.
In other personal Disney news, we have started planning our next Walt Disney World trip! It is always exciting when the planning begins again. The dates are already picked out and we have a list of restaurants. Now we just have to narrow down the restaurants, pick which day to put them each on, and book the resort! This trip we will be celebrating my sister’s high school graduation so she is looking forward to getting the Mickey graduation caps with her friends when we go. I’m looking forward to eating at Teppan Edo again and maybe going to the Hoop Dee Doo. We haven’t been to the Hoop Dee Doo in years (at least 7) and it is a hysterical show at Disney’s Fort Wilderness.
And in other general Disney news, starting in October, the Wilderness Lodge will be under construction for DVC additions. Registration took place today for the Princess Half Marathon runDisney weekend at Walt Disney World. The challenge and half marathon sold out very quickly. The 10K is now sold out as well.
Hope everyone is having a great summer! Posts coming soon on recent Disney points of confusion and things to know when planning a Disney vacation. I have noticed that planning a Disney vacation has gotten to be more overwhelming for clients who went to WDW years ago and are now a bit confused with the Magic Bands, which is understandable.
