My cousins live a little ways away from Orlando so one of the nights, they took me out to eat at the Yard House on International Drive in Orlando. We waited about 35 minutes for a table on a weekday, which they said was surprising because they have been there on the weekend and haven’t had to wait. We figured there was probably a conference in town or something. The Yard House is known for having a wide selection of beers, but also great food.
I ordered the truffle fries and the Chicken Tortilla Soup. The truffle fries were the BEST truffle fries ever! They had the right amount of truffle oil and parmesan cheese on them and were the right type of fries as well. I wish I had taken a photo, but I forgot to. And I would probably get hungry looking at the photo if I did take one. I ended up bringing both the fries and the soup back to the hotel and finishing them the next day. The Chicken Tortilla Soup was very good too. Unlike Applebee’s Chicken Tortilla soup which I find a little too spicy with too many tomato chunks, this tortilla soup had the right balance of ingredients.
I would definitely recommend this restaurant as a place to eat on I-Drive. The restaurant was a little loud, but that was to be expected as there was a bar area with a few televisions on. Has anyone else ate here before?
