Throwback Thursday to sunny days in Florida when I did not have a cold, homework, or a job to keep me away from blog writing. Don’t worry…I will eventually be back with consistent posting. In the meantime, here is a selfie of the family. For the future-are there any post topics you would be interested in reading about? (Besides the rest of my March 2015 Trip Report, of course!) Also I need one more follower to reach 100 followers! Once I reach 100, I will post the next day of my March Trip Report.

The countdown to my WDW trip is decreasing rapidly. One of the things which I am most interested to see when I go to Hollywood Studios this trip is nothing. Well not exactly nothing, but the empty place of where the hat used to be and what this view looks like now. I have seen many photos of the deconstruction of the Sorcerer’s Hat but am not going to look for any photos without the hat pre-trip so I can experience it for the first time when I am there.
The walk down the main street in Hollywood Studios is always one of my favorites. Of course Main Street in Magic Kingdom is top on my list for entrance to a park, but I believe Hollywood Studios is a close second. The stores on the side are all very different and have their own personality which is neat. Epcot’s entrance would be third, just because you can go in many directions so you don’t get the same feeling of walking with a crowd into the park. And Animal Kingdom falls in last place because I still can’t get around Animal Kingdom without using a map.
Throwing it back to the last Disney trip when my sister and I got our faces painted at Raglan Road in Downtown Disney for St. Patrick’s Day. Her face paint says “Kiss me I’m Irish” and I have the Irish flag. My sister is also crying in the photo because she is laughing so hard after a fun day of festivities.
I don’t often deviate from non-Disney topics on here but I wanted to quickly add that tonight is the finale episode of NBC’s Parenthood series. This is one of my all time favorite shows, along with Boys Meets World of course, but is coming to an end tonight. If you have never seen the show, I definitely suggest tuning in or watching the series from the beginning.
Throwback Thursday to 2004 when my sister and I were able to meet Tweedle Dee, Tweedle Dum, the White Rabbit, and the Queen of Hearts all at once. We have seen Alice many times in our Disney filled lives. One trip we even saw Alice six times! (That was back in the days where most of our time was spent at Magic Kingdom) But, here we met four characters from Alice in Wonderland at once! Today, it is very rare to have a character meet and greet with four characters. Especially if a few of those characters do not usually make an appearance to meet with guests. The Queen of Hearts is in stage shows, and sometimes a parade, but I have not seen her available for a meet and greet recently. I was happy to stumble upon this photo because I love how the characters are playing with our hair and just acting mischievous, as we stand there smiling taking it all in.
Well it is not a normal day in Lake Buena Vista, Florida if it does not downpour mid afternoon for a solid twenty to forty minutes and then stop. Here is a photo from the skies in Epcot right before it poured and I got stuck in the France pavilion for a while. I perfectly enjoyed being in the France pavilion though as I colored a Duffy to get stamped at each country.
Florida weather is abnormal and it is necessary to bring a poncho everyday to the parks even if the forecast does not say it will rain. If you don’t mind rain and it is the middle of summer, then feel free to be daring and leave the resort without a poncho. You may regret it though. As a sign on Splash Mountain says, “You May Get Wet.”
This week’s TBT is from 2012 when we went down to Walt Disney World for Thanksgiving. I LOVED seeing the parks decorated for Christmas, especially Main Street and the Osborne Light Spectacle in Hollywood Studios. You need to visit WDW at Christmas time at some point in your life because it is amazing! I hope to go again some time when the parks are decorated.
