I woke up this morning a little sad to leave Deauville because I had not had much time to explore the town, especially since I stayed in the hotel the one night I didn’t feel well. But, I was really looking forward to arriving in Paris and getting to explore Disneyland Paris the next day. Because Deaville and Paris are not exactly next to each other, the bus stops for a few hours in Honfleur on the way. Honfleur is a nice town right on the water which has the oldest wooden church in France. 
There are many cute shops and eateries but our guides did tell us that sit down meals would take a little longer than grabbing something quick so if we wanted to explore we should grab something quick. We went to a museum first but then went to find lunch. We went to a wrap and smoothie place where everything was made fresh. 
Many of the shop windows had this sign in them thanking the countries who helped them in World War II. We browsed a few of the shops and my sister ended up buying sunglasses. It was getting close to the time we needed to be back at the bus. The time had flown by quickly by going to a museum, eating lunch, and wandering around. Earlier, my dad and I had spotted a shop that had Magnum bars which are not as common in the USA as they are in Europe. 
I really wanted one so we stopped at the shop again and it tasted really good. I would not post a picture of it except I was so happy eating it that I have to post the picture. Even though it seems like we are always getting on and off a bus, we stop at wonderful places along the way that break up rides which would normally be much longer.
We headed to Paris and I woke up as the guides started having us learn a song about the Champs-Élysées. The bus took the long way to the hotel so that we could drive by different sites in Paris and learn about them. We also stopped at the Marine Museum to take amazing photos of the Eiffel Tower. 
If you are in Paris and want to take photos in front of the Eiffel Tower, this is the best place to do so as well as the best place to see the lights on the Eiffel Tower twinkle at night. 
The Hotel Napoleon was another very nice hotel. I especially liked this one because it was located on the street right next to the Champs-Élysées and the Arc de Triomphe was only a short walk away. The metro was close by too. We did not have connecting rooms at this hotel because the Tour de France was ending the day after we left and the hotel was full. We did not mind though. This hotel had wi fi in the lobby but not in the rooms for free so we were always able to find a fellow tour member sitting in one of the comfy couches in the lobby.
Dinner tonight was at Laduree. Each family got to choose what time they wanted to eat after 7:30 and if they wanted to sit with another family or with just their family. The guides gave us directions to get to the restaurant but also walked over the earliest group of diners. This is a photo of our two guides, my neighbor, and my sister and I. My neighbor, my sister, and I had all gone to the Lilly Pulitzer Warehouse Sale in June so we decided to all match in our Lilly dresses for this night. 
I was stuffed after dinner. I had chicken and a chocolate ice cream dessert. The macarons here were not as tasty as the ones we had had our first day exploring Paris on our own. They were still good here, but I did not understand why many people think they are amazing. It was a long dinner as well taking more than two hours and there was no air conditioning so we were all sweating until we were able to flag down a waiter and have him open a window which helped a little. After dinner, we wanted to walk to the Eiffel Tower and see it lit up at night since we knew we would be at Disneyland Paris the next night and had the Farewell Dinner the following night. It was close to 10:30 though and I was tired. We walked a little before I asked how much longer and we decided to turn back. The other thing we noticed while in France and specifically Paris is that it stays fairly light out until 10/10:30pm so to see the City of Lights and the Eiffel Tower lit up, you really need to stay up LATE. We returned to Hotel Napoleon and quickly sent a few photos to family members on Wifi before going to sleep.
